windows movie maker adding effects
Why is there a limit on the amount of transition effects in windows movie maker?

I noticed that in windows movie maker you are limited to around I think it was 8 transition effects per project. So say you had a project with 10 scenes and you wanted to add fades between all the clips, you would be able to add 8 then it wont allow you to add any more. Why is this? Is there a setting for it or something?

Seems like a pretty big Achilles heel for a video editing program to me.

ive never had a problem adding more transitions than that but the bigger problem is when you add to many transitions a lot of times if you don’t burn your project to a cd and you just have it on a usb port or connect your laptop to a projector, the program deletes all the media including music videos and any pictures you had and leaves in the transitions! go onto the help bar on the program and search transitions in there and you should find something that can help you out but make sure you copy it to a cd or something right when your done! my only other suggestion is to make seperate projects every 4 or 5 slides so that you have transitions on each and when you put it on the cd write them to play consecutively instead of seperately so its kind of like a mix cd if you get what i mean. I just bought a mac now and switched over, it was hard at first to get used to everything but the tutorials and help program and all the media type stuff is amazing! the imovie is SO easy and ive made like 25 minutes videos on there with no problems!
