How do i remove windows components??

Hi, i am trying to uninstall windows movie maker and msn messenger off of my windows XP – i go to > control panel > Add or remove programs > Add/remove windows components
but i dont know what to do there. should i uncheck the box next to movie maker and msn, or do i put a check i nthe box?????????

After entering into your control panel under add/remove programs it shouldn’t be a component and there shouldn’t be a check box. You should just be able to click on Change/remove on your right for the program you wish to remove and remove each one individually. If there is a check box though check only the ones you wish to delete it should ask you before deleting if you wish to delete those specified programs.
