the best cord blood banks
Which cord blood registry is best?

I’m not that far along yet (7 weeks 6 days) but i feel its important to get on this, ive gotten some info from a few places but i need opinions on which one you think is best, i deff want something that wont break the bank but is a good choice this is my first child so i dont have any experience in cord blood banking PLEASE HELP!!

I really suggest talking to your doctor before deciding to bank the cord blood. Honestly it’s about $10,000 to bank and store for 21 years. I talked to my doctor about it and he informed me that if your baby, or anyone in your family for that matter, has a problem where they would actually need cord blood, your babies cord blood has less than a 25% chance of being able to be used on your family, you usually have to find someone else’s cord blood. So if I were you I would talk to your doctor and decide if that’s something you’re into.

If not, remember you can always donate your babies cord blood and save someone else’s life… I plan on donating because to be honest if something were to happen to my baby or my family we’d be dishing out the same to get someone else’s cord blood and if I already used that money to bank my babies cord blood and it couldn’t save her then I would feel it’s useless.

Via cord is a good place to start though, you can get on google find their website and get some information sent to you about it.
