Will red food coloring stain my porcelain tooth?
I’m helping my friend with a photoshoot tomorrow, and one of the scenes is a girl punching me in the mouth, so we’re using food coloring as ‘blood’. But see, one of my two front teeth is porcelain, it’s a crown obviously, and I was wondering if it would stain it? Because that would really suck, you know? We would use the fake blood, but we’re going the shoot tomorrow and there is no way we could get it by 9 in the morning. And is there anything else that could be lying around the house that could be used as fake blood? I’ve heard of some people taking crystal light powder, and putting it in their mouth, so their saliva mixes with it, and it turns blood red. Idk what to do. i’m just mega freaked out about it staining my crown.
The nice thing about porcelain is that it will not stain. Any coloring will just be superficial and will easily be removed by brushing. Just make sure she pulls her punch, as porcelain can chip. Break a leg!
