windows movie maker burn to dvd

How do you burn a video made from Windows Movie Maker to a DVD?
I made a short video for my son’s baseball team and want to burn it on to a DVD so each kid will have one at the end of the season. I am not sure if either one of my two drives support burning a DVD. First, how can I find out and second what do I need to do in case I don’t have the capabilities. One drive states CD Rom and the other DVD/CD RW.
You’ll need to convert the wmv files to .vob, if you want the DVD to play on a regular Player.
Windows Movie Maker uses a format which is made to shrink the video to a thumbnail size and create the file that is so small it can be sent over the net. Regular DVD Players, however, cannot understand this format.
It’s like asking an Englishman to read a letter written in Chinese, you see.
There are many converters that will render a wmv file into the .vob format.
Let me see if I can get you the necessary converter.

The link below will take you to the comprehensive windows movie maker tutorials which would be a good idea for you to study first.
Oh, by the way, if you’re sharing the DVD with people in America, you’ll need to choose the NTSC format, whereas if it’s for the rest of the world, it should be in the PAL/SECAM/MESECAM.
The video tool link will give you the required software.
Let me see if I can dig up some freeware. This might take a while.
Looks like there’s no freeware available.
The PC World link will give you some trailware, though.
Oh, by the way, use the drive that is DVD/CD RW. CD ROM is useless.
Hope this helped.
All the best.
Cheers!
