special effects design
I am doing a Character Model Design special effects course. Anyone have any dissertation ideas?
Are you sure you have to do a written dissertation for this course? Usually with creative/design courses, you embark on a personal project of some variety instead. With this one I would expect you would do something like a character design and modelling project, or an effects project, that you choose yourself, along with a report. That was the case with my 3D modelling and animation degree. If that’s the case, I would recommend visiting websites like CGTalk http://forums.cgsociety.org/ and looking at the kind of projects other 3D artists are working on.
If not, I would honestly have no idea how to go about finding a subject for a written dissertation within a character modelling/effects course.
