mpeg4 editor

Can’t get my video to be high quality on youtube!?
I am trying to upload a video to youtube, but the quality is pretty bad. I have tried a .wmv file at 640×480 at 2Mbps, an .avi file encoded with xvid at 640×480 at 1Mbps, an Mpeg-II file, an .avi file encoded as mpeg4, and I’m about to try a .wmv at 640×480 at 950kbps. My video editor is Windows Movie Maker, so my source file for all of these is a .wmv file (640×480 at 1.9Mbps). The source file looks good and so do the conversions. But when they get to youtube….
Please help! (and thanks)
btw I’m using Any Video Converter to convert from my .wmv file.
Apparently, you shouldn’t need a converter
at all because you seem to have the ideal
specifications.
YouTube’s ideal video format/compression
is actually “MPEG4 at 640×480 resolution
with sound in MP3 audio” — all recorded at
a rate of more than 24 frames per second.
However, also accepted are video files that
are AVI, MOV and WMV, the last of which
is Windows Movie Maker.
