how much do blood banks pay for blood
Milk bank queries on payment for donors and if same is available in the UK.?
I am in the UK and I have read answers from people in the USA talking about milk banks not sure if we have them but just wondering in the USA whether a nursing mother gets paid to donate her milk to a milk bank. I heard that people get paid/used to get paid to donate blood to a blood bank and wondering if it was the same for breast milk. I am sure that stringent checks are done on quality/safety etc. If you do get paid how much is it?
As far as I know, there are no milk banks in the US that pay mothers for their milk.
Anyone who is paid for their milk is selling it privately.
