editor movie maker
is there a decent movie maker/editor that is free to use and download?
because i have showbiz dvd 2 editing software but it doesn’t let me put it on my phone. I also want to be able to slow things down in good quality because i make a lot of skateboarding movies and so fourth.
You could try Windows Movie Maker, that’s free and easy to use. But is it decent? That’s hard to say. A lot of people are fine with it, but then a lot also find it too restrictive towards what they want to achieve.
If WMM isn’t the right choice, other free options would include Video Spin, WAX, Zwei-stein, ZS4 video editor, and JahShaka. I haven’t used any of them, just know they are free options. So you can download and give those a whirl.
If you are willing to pay, I think either AVS video editor or Sony Vegas Movie Studio (the most basic one) would be options in the $50 or less range that you could look at. Both have free trials if you want to test them out first and see if they are worth paying for.
I personally would recommend Adobe Premiere Elements. I think its the best consumer level option out there. It has a good community online. There is book support for it. And it works well with other Adobe products. It too has a free trial (30 days) for you test drive it. But it is the most expensive of the lot coming in at $140 I believe.
