do blood banks sell blood to hospitals
Can I get money for providing blood?

I say providing because I do not want to say donate. Donating your blood of course would get me nothing (maybe a juice and cookies). I have given blood recently and have several times. But this last time, I went to American Red Cross and now they have me on file. They call me once a week not counting the emails or mail. Why not pay me for my blood? I have researched this question. 1. Safety issue (why not pay me later after you have checked my blood then give me a card/if at some later time I give blood and its bad, don’t pay me) 2. Helping your fellow man (that is great and all but they still pay for it) I donate blood, the blood Bank sells it to Hospitals, then the patient still pays a premium price for my free (donated) blood. whats up with that?

There are Plasma Centers in just about every city.We have one called NABI. They pay so much for blood, with increasing amounts over time. My son has given blood many times to the red cross and they’ve never once called him, so don’t know about that statement.

Anything wrong with hospitals nowadays?
