cord blood banking in australia?
i was reading my “what to expect when your expecting” book and it has a section in it on cord blood banking, so i have a few questions about it
1: anyone done it or considering doing it?
2: do u think its worth it?
3: (for the aussies) do you know how much it costs at all?
even a website that you might be able to get info from would be helpfull if you know of one

there was a lady at my hospital tour that asked the nurse about it and she said its something that has to be organised privately so long as there is a collection place in the area you live. there isn’t one on the gold coast where i live.
However, i don’t think its worth it. Financially its expensive from what i have heard and i sorta don’t like thinking that A) your planning for your child or another family member to get sick and B) no one ends up getting sick so you’ve wasted a ton of money.
I think there is a company called CORDLIFE that you can enquire with. try googling that one
